Background
Are you a fan of second-hand items? Have you bought them online?
In Thailand, the second-hand market is popular. Negotiation for a better price is a unique technique one will have. But bargaining goods you want online can be frustrated waiting for the seller or buyer to answer your message back. Then before you realised it, the item you keep your eyes on is gone.
This UX case study aims to design a negotiation experience for second-hand goods on the mobile e-commerce platform. Experiment with the possible negotiation process and convey the easiest yet least time consuming to close the deals.

Market Research
Consideration research area focuses on Thailand e-commerce platform that provides second-hand trading featured. Such as Lazada, Shopee and Kaidee. I collect each application reviews related to the problems area on their Facebook fan page and online web board to analyse user insights and recommendations.

Personas
Based on information gathered from market research insight and pain points, I create two quick personas both seller and buyer aspect. These personas describe the typical user, their behaviour, goals, needs and frustration they encountered in their life.
Insight & Recommendation
1. Seller spend too much time replying to question that has described in the details section and often not get  any response
Autonomous bargain system that allows buyers to make the first move on their negotiation for sellers to review

2. Buyers are looking for a trusted and good reputable sellers
ID verified requested for both seller and buyer. Including the seller stars rating to increase buyer’s trust so that they can make an easier decision

3. Redundant purchase issue
After the offer has accepted, the item will be reserved and required payment within 24 hours before the deal expire to prevent the redundant purchase
